Baki attack
by The final character for Season 3 of Tekken 8 has been revealed, and I certainly never saw it coming.
Arriving in early 2027, Yujiro Hanma is Tekken’s latest guest fighter. He’s from Baki the Grappler, a frankly insane martial arts manga and anime series. The latter’s been running since 1991.
Yujiro is protagonist Baki’s father, and is portrayed as being impossibly strong. He’s pretty much the series’ final boss.
We don’t yet know how he’ll look in Tekken 8, but I’m very interested in finding out, because Baki’s art direction is striking to say the least.
As far as guest characters go, this is a crazy choice — even crazier than Final Fantasy 16’s Clive, who was added back in Season 1.
Yujiro joins Kunimitsu, Bob, and Roger Jr. in Season 3. We’re yet to see Bob (coming this summer) and Roger Jr. (coming this autumn) in action, but Kunimitsu releases in just a few days, on the 27th May.
